This was a Fakiru fanart I drew for a friend as her birthday present. I'm depicting Ahiru and Fakir, married, and in a rather intimate situation. As newly-weds I drew Ahiru with a rather coy look while Fakir is much more...confident, shall we say?
However having never drawn any sort of intimate fanart before, this was also a challenge for myself to see if I can actually draw something of that order. At first I was really flustered about drawing it, mostly because I have half embarrassed and half worried that I wouldn't be able to pull it off. But I was really surprised by the outcome and how much other people seemed to like it after I first posted it on LJ (which surprised me because I know intimate Fakiru fanart isn't every fan's cup of tea), and I hope you guys here on DA will like it too.
The picture itself was generated from four different sketches on four different sheets of paper because I have yet to figure out how to draw two characters so close together on one piece of paper. After I scanned the pencil drawing into the computer I added a tan colored layer and a tan colored gradient on Photoshop, then erased away some of the tan color to create the white chalk look for highlights, a visual effect I picked up from CLAMP's art work.
Wow, this is so wonderful! And I love your description of how you did it too! ^^
Another way to do something like that on actual paper is to get some cretacolors/charcoals in brown and white, using the brown to tint the paper before you draw (or after, as the case can be sometimes, then you don't end up erasing the tinting) and the white for the highlights afterwards. ^^
This is gorgeous. I love the positioning, the expressions on their faces, and the tiny hint of Fakir's undone pants. It's very subtle, which adds to the over all soft/sweet/but with the potential to go hot pretty quickly.
OOH. I have absolutely no problems with intimate!Fakir so if you need a place to practice...bring it on girlfriend. XDD. They look lovely, btw. And the story behind its creation is cool too.
I'm sorely confused on why you were so flustered in drawing this. It's barely NC-17, only a little suggestive. When I read your LJ post, I was expecting something far worse, rating-wise.
The picture itself is very, very good. I love Ahiru's expression: so mysterious. :3 -nod nod-
