Noble Aristocrat

When I was looking at an anime magazine I have, I came across a cool looking EGL outfit and I said to myself "Hey, Fakir would look nice in that kind of outfit!" But then somewhere along the line, Pride and Prejudice got into the mix as well, so Fakir ended up looking a fraction like Mr. Darcy, which is strange because I've never read or seen Pride and Prejudice.

By the end of this project, my Photoshop has crashed four times (because of the file size) and I think I came close to killing my laptop again.

Now, about the piece: I actually painted half this picture (the character coloring part) using Painter 8, and this is the first time I've used that program for a project so I hope it looks okay (though the background has dulled some of the finer details, unfortunately). I didn't want to do anything too fancy with the outfit, even though the style is EGL, or else I think it would look really odd on Fakir. So I added in some small detail like the gold chain and riding gloves and crop (<-- the P & P thing) that won't be too distracting. (There's also a subtle Fakiru hint in the picture as the white rose he's holding symbolizes innocence, one of Ahiru's key traits.)
