This month's :iconclub-tutu: contest theme is the Jazz Age. Incidentally I've been working on a Princess Tutu AU fanfic called An Uncommon Witness which is set in the 1920's, so this prompt was right up my alley. ;)

In my story Duck (I use the English name in the fanfic since it's set in 1920's New York City) witnessed a murder carried out by Mytho, a mobster who is a member of the the notorious Corvo family. Fakir is the tenacious detective who's trying to build a case against the Corvo, and tries his best to protect Duck, his star witness, much to her chagrin. This picture is partly inspired by a scene from chapter 5. The phonograph pictured is a Victrola, made by the Victor Talking Machine Company. The two rows of music are the opening portion of the famous clarinet solo in Rhapsody in Blue, written by George Gershwin in 1924. Most people might know it from Disney's Fantasia, and it's my favorite piece of music from that era.

Uncommon Witness inspired, hmm? Lol, I was hoping for this! XD Chapter 5 was a fun one, lol...dance senario...fluff...*insert puppy-dog eyes*...does wants...*is promptly locked away withe the rest of the crazy fangirls*

Ahahaha... ^^; Yeah, I haven't been working on the Christmas story for a while now. I would like to make a fanbook for "An Uncommon Witness" someday like I did for "This Pendent Heart", with illustrations and such. But I feel like I should finish the Christmas Present doujin first...
